Ho Chi Minh Highway Section from Ha Tinh to Quang Nam belong to Ho Chi Minh Highway Project (Stage one) which has 933 kilometers long, scale within six provinces, capitals and 18 districts, towns. Most of the highway goes through mountain and half-mountain area with many diversified ecology, especially rest of it goes through sensitive ecology areas and agricultural production resident areas. Ho Chi Minh Highway has much active affects on socioeconomic, however construction and operation process has inactive effects on environment and agricultural production. Research on environmental status and appraise the damages is basic of solution to orient sustainable development rural and mountain areas along the highway. Appraising surface-water existing along the highway is one of the section of project: " Appraise the level of ecosystem degradation along corridor Ho Chi Minh highway area from Ha Tinh to Quang Nam Province due to building process and propose solution to repair".
