The existing inter-sterile groups in sweet cherry necessitate immediate studies on pollination relations with the aim of establishing the most suitable pollinators of the new cultivars. The new cultivar Kossara officially registered by the Executive Agency of Plant Variety Testing, Approbation and Seed Control in 2008, was included in the present investigation. The following cultivars were used as pollinators: Bigarreau Burlat, Rozita, Rivan, Nalina, Starkrimson cherry and Stella. The best pollinator for Kossara cultivar proved to be Starkrimson cherry with 55,62% retained fruit set. Kossara was also efficiently pollinated by the cultivars Rivan, Stella and Bigarreau Burlat. Rozita cultivar proved to be an unsuitable pollinator.
