During the period 2006–2008 a field ecological experiment was conducted with 10 sunflower hybrids at IASS Obraztsov chiflik. During the phases flowering – seed formation, biometric measures were made about the dynamics of the growth, leafiness, resistance to atmospheric drought, yield qualities of the seeds, vitality, % oils. Concerning all the traits investigated, that determined the physiology of the growth, drought resistance, yield, technological and biological qualities of the seeds, the hybrids Merkurii, Musala and Diamand showed the best ecological plasticity. Velika, Yana, Albena and Mariza followed.
