With objective to study the influence of preparation Confidor on the vegetative exhibits of winter vetch - V.villosa Roth. in the conditions of different sowing dates during 2007-2010 period in IFC-Pleven was carried out a two-factor field trial by the split plot method. The sowing was carried out in three calendar periods – 20-25 September, 5-10 October and 20-25 October with winter vetch variety Asko. In early flowering stage was conducted treatment with Confidor 70 WG - 700 g/kg imidacloprid at a dose 15 g/da. The results showed that the use of Confidor influenced positively the development of aboveground and root mass of winter vetch increasing them by 20.9 to 34.0% and by 17.7 to 29.8% respectively. In the later sowing dates the quantity of formed aboveground and root mass is lower average by 22.2 and 18.2%. The nodulation process was not influenced by used preparation but it was influenced by the sowing date as the increase in the earliest date - 20-25 September reached 33.3% in comparison with the later dates 5-10 и 20-25 October. All treated with Confidor variants were with increased protein content with differences to the controls from 9.7 and 4.6% respectively in aboveground and root mass. With few exceptions similar tendency of higher values in plants from the treated variants was watched in regard to calcium and phosphorus.
