Result of experimental research of compaction of stalky mass with the static and dynamic loads in horizontal storehouses realized in the different soil and climate conditions of Brest and Vitebsk regions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. The influence of stalky mass humidity on the degree of deformation of compaction and dissipation was showed. The expediency of stalky mass compaction with the static load wad substantiated. The difference of the proposed new method of forage preparation from the traditional one is that stalky mass is loaded into an entrenchment in small parts over the whole length of it (in batches), and after the loading of a part it is immediately condensed with the static load instead of compacting with tractors. On the basis of the realized studies there was determined the required value of the static load which depended on humidity of uploaded stalky mass. Under influence of the static load the air was progressively pressed out that in its turned created anaerobic conditions for the development of lactic-acid bacterium. Research results showed that in all experimental entrenchments the fodder had pleasant wine-fruit fragrance, light-olive color and well saved structure
