Review of scientific works on the problem of changeability of biochemical composition of legume grasses depending on phase of plant development was presented. Characteristics of meadow clover (Trifolium pratense) of Mereya variety and eastern galega (Galega orientalis L.) of Nesterka variety was presented according to the chemical composition of green mass depending on the phase of grass stand development (stooling stage, flower-bud formation, and blossoming). Research results showed the changeable character of chemical composition of green mass of created in the Belarusian State Academy of Agriculture selection variety samples of eastern galega and meadow clover at the phase of hay maturity (flower-bud formation - beginning of blossoming). For the best variety samples there was given the analysis of amino acid composition of protein in green mass. It was stated that protein amino acid composition depended on species and variety peculiar features. The content of lysine, triptophane and phenylalanine was higher than the FAO standard in all variety samples of eastern galega and meadow clover. Creation of new high-yielding varieties of meadow clover and eastern galega with the improved quality and quantity structure of nonreplaceable amino acids proved to be one of successful methods of solution to a problem of feed protein in the Republic of Belarus. The created biological material was characterized by high biological nutritional value. The best variety samples with high biological nutritional value among eastern galega crops were SEhG-2, SEhG-1; among meadow clover - TOS-870
