Research of the influence of ploughing up of buckwheat (Polygonum) straw as the biological factor of the intensification of the technology of cereal crops (spring wheat (Triticum aestivum) of Rosstan variety and spring barley (Hordeum vulgare) of Honar variety) cultivation on sod-podzolic light loamy soils was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Buckwheat straw increased yields of wheat and barley up to 20%. It was established that ploughing up of buckwheat straw was effective both without application of mineral fertilizers (N90P80K100) and with their use. The highest grain yield of spring wheat and spring barley was in the conditions of ploughing up stubble and buckwheat straw with the application of NPK – 41,0 and 33,0 c/ha; the lowest yield was obtained without ploughing up of buckwheat straw and without fertilizer application – 24,5 and 21,4 c/ha, respectively (in course of 3 years of studies). Ploughing up of buckwheat straw made it possible to decrease the specific capacity of Fusarium fungi in soils that provided the lowering of number of wheat crops affected by root crops in two times and barley - one and half times
