Research of different cereal hay meadow mixed stands on the basis of awnless brome (Bromus inermis) cultivated onsod-podzolic sady loam soils in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus was realized. The average-ripening cereal hay meadow grass stands of awnless brome made it possible to obtain the yielding capacity of dry matter at the level of 56,6-63,7 c/ha on the average cultured sandy loam soils and 67-78 c/ha – on highly-cultured sandy loam soils. Presence of meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis) and timothy grass (Phleum pratense) in the grass stands made it possible to stabilize productivity of awnless brome grass stands in the frst years of their use. Inclusion of cock's-foot grass (Dactylis glomerata) into three- and four-component grass mixtures caused the suppression of awnless brome grass, especially in the conditions of moisture lack. Ratio of cock's-foot grass in the studied grass mixtures by the fourth year f their usage stabilized at the level of 36-49%. It was proposed to calculate the index of the coenotic activity as the correlation between species ratio in yields and the ratio of crop components in the structure of grass stands in the first years of cultivation
