The necessity of the creation of the combined units allow carrying out some technological operation for one pass is revealed. The experimental elliptical knives along with combined working unit of finger-knife type for cutter with horizontal swing center are displayed. The dependence of specific energy consumption on moving speed is shown graphically. The results of vertical cutter test operations are analyzed. The results of combined plough testing are displayed. The analysis of existing cultivation of soil is given and also variants of solution of the problem are discussed - ploughing with additional cultivation of soil by the adaptation finger-knife type and the soil-cultivating vertical mill equipped with elliptic knives are offered. The advantages of the offered designs are shown and the skilled data is cited.
