The article bases the necessity of the creating of imitation model of bulldozer on the basis of usage of library elements, corresponding to the elements of working equipment. The parameters of the working equipment geometry and the conditions of the exploited ground are determined. A model for the ground moving in the prism of dragging is suggested. The process occurring between big shifts, which happen when ground breaks is described. The methods of determining of the extreme pressure, which the ground con bear before it breaks, are suggested. The method of determining of the component of resistance to cutting between ground shifts, the procedure of determining the force of resistance to cutting in the moment of big shift and after it is analyzed. The programs, designed for the determination of the resistance forces during digging and parameters of initial data are presented. The characteristics of the forces of resistance to digging in one of the variants of calculation are described. The conclusions about the possibility of application of these methods and programs are made.
