The formation of the slough grass biomass in Belarusian Poozerye | Формирование биомассы бекмании обыкновенной в условиях Белорусского Поозерья

The formation of the herbage crop yield and the dry matter content of the slough grass (Beckmannia eruciformis) on the sod-podzolic, gley-like, medium loamy soils in agro-meteorological conditions typical for Belarusian Lakeland is evaluated. The total precipitation, the average daily temperatures during the vegetation period, their influence on the crop capacity, soil humidity, mineral fertilizers doses, cereal and legume-cereal herbage mixtures are presented. It is stated that herbage crop yield of the slough grass alone formed 215 centner per hectare, mixed with cereal grasses – 237.5 centner per hectare, mixed with legume-cereal – 372.5 centner per hectare. Maximum capacity of herbage and dry solid matter during the 2009-2010 period is reached in mixture of slough grass (Beckmannia eruciformis) + meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis) + alsike clover (Trifolium hybridum) either without any fertilizers or with various mineral nutrition background.
