Valuation of soil resistance to water erosion was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. In course of the study there were analyzed 10 soil varieties which were revealed in Belarus: the coefficients of their erosion resistance; and their ranging in accordance with erosion resistance. For the approximate evaluation of soil erosion resistance it was enough to have coefficients which were obtained by calculation method in accordance with data on granulometric and gross chemical analysis of soils. This excluded the necessity in the experimental watersheds and universal equation of soil losses caused by erosion. As a result of realized research the coefficients of erodibility of sod-podzolic soils of Belarus to erosion were determined by two methods: the ratio of soil sand to summary of silt and clay; SiO2 : R2O3. Fluctuation of these coefficients respectively varied form 0,5 to 5,8 and from 6,4 to 19. Both methods can be used for evaluation of erosion resistance of soils.
