In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed avian influenza virus (Orthomyxoviridae) data, its circulation in nature and potential danger for poultry and human beings. There was considered the epizootic process and measures of infection control on each site of epizootic chain. The specific preventive maintenance of infection by means of inactivated vaccines as one of the major ways of effective protection of a poultry was shown.
