In the production conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was analyzed the efficiency of a national complex antioxidant preparation Nivet used for the preventive treatment and therapy of toxic dystrophy of broiler chickens. The antioxidant status was determined by a range of malondialdehydein (MDA) in tissues of liver and brain, the activity of superoxide dismutase, by a level of lipid hydroperoxides in blood serum of studied chickens. Research results showed that application of a complex antioxidant preparation Nivet promoted the lowering of MDA level in liver and brain. The preparation also promoted the lowering of lipid hydroperoxides and cholesterin in blood serum of experimental group of chickens. It was concluded that veterinary drug Nivet increased the antioxidant status of broiler chickens.
