In many countries of the world the cultivation of various cultures with the purpose of energy reception extends. The agriculture alongside with food stuffs manufacture becomes a source of getting the renewed power resources. In Great Britain and other countries of Europe the cultivation of miscanthus perennial crop - a fast-growing plant with low mineral content, and high biomass yield of Poaceae family is practiced. By power value one ton of dry- weight miscanthus is equivalent to 400 kg of crude oil. Miscanthus plants can exist on a plot for 15 - 20 years, to achieve up to 3.5 m in height and to yield annually 12-18 t/ha of dry mass. The comparative evaluation of energy value of different crops (wheat (Triticum aestivum); rape (Brassica napus); cane (Phragmites); willow (Salix)) production and Miscanthus crops was presented. Indexes of burning (calorific capacity; thermal value; ash content) of different biomass indexers of various trees and grain crops, as well as Miscanthus were given.
