Genetic study of small isolated populations of Silver Fir (Abies alba Mill.) in Sub-Mediterranean zone of the Dinarides

anglais. The genetic structure of silver fir in small isolated populations in sub-Mediterranean zone of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia was analysed using biochemical markers. Biochemical markers were used for the analysis: 9 enzyme systems and 16 gene loci, with 11 of them being polymorphic, with 38 alleles in total. The average number of alleles per locus ranged from 1.8125 to 2.0625. Genetic multi loci diversity ranged from 17.8568 to 29.4664, and gene pool diversity ranged from 1.1684 to 1.1958, while actual heterozygosity ranged from 0.1113 to 0.1706. The analysed populations showed inbreeding as indicated by the positive size of the fixation index with low degree of population differentiation and total differentiation (Dj) 0.1468. Based on the obtained results, and also after comparing them with the results from other similar studies, there are indications that small isolated populations of silver fir in the sub-Mediterranean zone have specific genetic structure, although with autochthonous gene fond distinctive for the Western Balkans.

espagnol; castillan. La estructura genética del abeto común en pequeñas poblaciones aisladas en la zona sub-Mediterránea de Bosnia Herzegovina y Croacia fue analizada usando marcadores bioquímicos. Los marcadores bioquímicos fueron usados para el análisis: 9 sistemas enzimáticos 16 loci, con 11 de ellos polimórficos, con 38 alelos en total. El número medio de alelos por locus varió desde 1,8125 a 2,0625. La diversidad genética de múltiples loci varió desde 17,8568 a 29,4664, y la diversidad del acervo genético osciló entre 1,1684 y 1,1958, mientras la heterozigosidad actual osciló entre 0,1113 y 0,1706. Las poblaciones analizadas mostraron la consanguinidad, como indica el tamaño positivo del índice de fijación, con bajo grado de diferenciación de la población y diferenciación total (Dj) 0,1468. Basándose en los resultados obtenidos, y también después de compararlos con los resultados de otros estudios similares, existen indicios de que pequeñas poblaciones aisladas de abeto común en la zona Sub-Mediterránea tienen una estructura genética específica, aunque con un gen autóctono distintivo para el Oeste de los Balcanes.
