The response of Longiflorum/Asiatic hybrid lily 'Menorca' to timing of application and gibberellin∧4+7 (GA∧4+7) has been investigated on flower bud development, flowering time, quality and yielding characters. Three dates of application were employed, the earliest at visible bud date, the second and third 10 and 20 days later, respectively, in the concentrations (0, 20, 200 and 2000 ㎍/plant) at all dates. Stem diameter was (space require between words) increased by application of GA∧4+7 at second date and in the 200 ㎍/plant. GA∧4+7 spray at 200 ㎍/plant caused the optimum effect on flower number, rate of flower bud development and vegetative height. Length of the inflorescence was increased with application (200 ㎍/plant) at the second date.
