Models of the interconnections of valuation characteristics of grey alder stands have been elaborated. For the development of models, 150 once-measured sample field and data of sample trees have been used. The sample field have been established in stands of various density (cross-section area) and age throughout the territory of Latvia in forest and non-forest lands. The multiple non-linear regression method has been used for interpretation of the interconnections of valuation characteristics. The regression equation coefficients have been calculated analytically. The dynamics of the stand's average diameter, cross-section area and wood yield have been expressed as a function of the stand's age, site quality and number of trees. The regression equations found are characterized by high determination indexes. The regularities found can be used for modelling the progress of development of unmixed grey alder stands. the models allow determining the expected valuation characteristics depending on the amount of trees remaining after the thinning of the stand. The models may be easily used for development of tables for determination of the valuation characteristics of unmixed grey alder stands of various age and site quality.
