Several important themes on plane gluing and fingerjointing of broadleaf soft wood were investigated for the application in various conditions of the environment. The aims of research: 1) to investigate the bonding strength of glued material by applying a wide range of adhesives used in manufacturing; to assess the influence of the outdoor climate and elevated moisture content on bonding strength in shear in a five month period; 2) to investigate the influence of the sauna temperature on the critical bending strength of fingerjointed aspen bunk board; 3) to investigate the influence of the elevated moisture content of wet aspen and grey alder (wood moisture content greater than 30%) on the bending strength of fingerjointed specimen. The essential importance of the research is to find out some new kinds of application for the adhesives used in a current market in order to save up the resources in the product manufacturing process.
