anglais. In this study modelling of the riverbed morphology and sediment transport in the lower reaches of the Rīva River has been accomplished. The main objective of this work was to describe the changes of river bed morphology, the sediment transport processes, and to determine the main factors that influence them by application of modelling. Basic hydrological and geological data for model preparations was collected by taking measurements in situ and determining the grain size of the collected material. As a result, interaction of different factors which have major impact on fluvial processes was defined. Simulation of river bed morphology and sediment transport changes was performed in the CCHE2D mathematical model, using techniques of mathematical modelling and comparison between simulated and measured data. The results were well-correlated.

Pētījums ir veltīts upes gultnes morfoloģijas izmaiņu novērtēšanai un analīzei, apskatot nogulumu transporta procesus un tos ietekmējošos faktorus, kas kompleksi analizēti ar dominējošo procesu matemātisku modelēšanu. Gultnes morfoloģijas un nogulumu transporta procesu matemātiskai modelēšanai nepieciešamie gultnes morfoloģijas, nogulumu un hidroloģisko faktoru parametri tika iegūti, veicot mērījumus in situ, kā arī nosakot un analizējot nogulumu granulometrisko sastāvu. Izmantojot CCHE2D matemātisko modeli, noskaidrota galveno fluviālos procesus ietekmējošo faktoru savstarpējā atkarība un veikta gultnes morfoloģijas un nogulumu transporta procesu modelēšana, kā arī prognozētās izmaiņas salīdzinātas ar nomērītajiem datiem un konstatēta to augsta sakritība.
