Impact of different wood wastes on chemical properties of manufactured composts

An experiment lasting several years was carried out with the aim to determine the possibilities of composting of various wood wastes. The composting process was conducted in natural conditions utilising fibreboard wastes and interior and exterior plywood wastes mixed at different combinations with pine chips, high moor peat and urea. It was found that the experimental composts were characterized by favourable C;N values as well as macro- and microelement contents. Significant differences were demonstrated between different composts with regard to macro- and microelement solubility
