In this paper some possibilities for efficiency and quality of peeled veneer drying improvement has been discussed. Conventional veneer drying with delta T method has been compared. Final model was a highly practical since it was composed of easily obtained measure of process variable delta T highly correlated to MC, that grouped all of the variables associated with drying into one value. After that, it contained dryer speed, a variable that was easily measured and manipulated to control the process. Applying delta T control system final MC distributions could be narrower and percentage of veneer for redrying decreases for 33%, resulting in veneer drying capacity increases about 5.9%. Generally, veneer drying capacity increases 4-20% with veneer quality improvement in all cases.
