In the research field of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad (Serbia), which is situated in Sremski Karlovci in so-called EKO plot, a large number of table and wine interspecies grapevine cultivars have been grown for many years without any protection from fungal diseases and without application of artificial fertilizers. In the next few years, this plot will be used for development of a model of organic grape production in order to determine which cultivars and method of growing are the most suitable for this type of production. The paper presents the results of the study of biological and production characteristics of selected cultivars as well as their resistance to diseases.
