Interaction between macroorganisms, microorganisms and environment induce pathomorphological changes in mammary gland. Intramammary infection began by penetrating microorganisms in the mammary tissue. First line of defence is ductus papillaris and the second lines of defence are polymorphonuclear leukocytes, macrophages and immunoglobulines. In our study we examined 104 mammary glands by measuring length of papilla mammae, length and thickness of ductus papillaris and pathohistological changes in a mammary tissue. Our goal is to find out whether pathomorphological changes in mammary tissue depending of length and thickness of ductus papillaris.
