Recently adopted new legislation, West management Law and packaging and packaging waste Law together with the sub legislative acts which are in the preparation and/or adoption stage are aiming at the fulfillment of the Republic of Serbia West Management Strategy Framework. New regulations clearly define terms, obligations and responsibilities and provide new opportunities for profound sustainable waste management at all levels, national, municipal and industrial. At the same time they provide economic instruments and financial mechanisms in order to insure all necessary conditions or domestic and foreign investments in future long-term activities.
