Leachate are precipitation which are falling down to the landfill body and, through its pass from top to the bottom of the body, through waste layers, gets different substances in its composition. Problem of leachate management will be considered on the example of the landfill of Banja Luka (Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Above mentioned problem include collecting of leachate on the bottom of the landfill by drainage system and then delivered to the basin. Part of the leachate is sent to the landfill body and the other part will be purified. With this approach on management of leachate, negative influences on the environment are eliminated or reduced.
