Industrial crops and their products are important segments of the development of agro-industrial complex and the economy as a whole of Republic of Serbia. Intensity of production of this group of crops is confirmed by its high degree of market orientation. Domestic foreign exchange of industrial plants products recently have more significant surplus, which contributes to mitigating the negative trade balance of the overall economy. The paper points out the trends in production and trade of major industrial crops and their derivatives, the volume and dynamic of domestic production and trade of these products, with special emphasis on their external trade.
