Evaluation of sapropel influence on soil nematode fauna and crop productivity | Влияние сапропеля на фауну почвенных нематод и продуктивность сельскохозяйственных культур

anglais. The experiments were conducted in 2004-2006 in the territory of Karelia. Potato and common timothy were grown on peat soil. An aqueous sapropel solution was applied annually on the basis of 1000 g/sq. m (for timothy) or 500 g in each seedbed (for potato). Two types of sapropel were used – from a pure lake classified as organic low-ash moderately humified low-acid, and from a lake polluted with wood-sawing production waste and oil products containing large mounts of lead, cobalt, manganese. The staring nematode fauna was represented by 41 genera of which 4 (Prodesmodora, Rhabditis, Pratylenchus, Prismatolaimus) were dominant. In the grass experiment the total number of nematodes under an effect of pure sapropel increased by a factor of about 3, and under effect of polluted sapropel – about by a factor of 5 and was maintained at the level greatly exceeding the starting one for 2 seasons. In the potato experiment the number of nematodes decreased both in the control and in the sapropel application variant. The taxonomic structure of nematode communities has not generally changed from applying sapropel, but in the grass experiment the density of bacteriotroph populations increases, in the potato experiment parasitic nematodes. In particular, the number of specialized potato parasite Globodera rostochiensis became almost twice larger than in the control under effect of polluted sapropel and inconsiderably less under effect of pure sapropel. At the first year of sapropel applying for potato the weight of top, tubers, roots and stolons (especially under effect of pure sapropel), but at the second year these parameters fell down below the starting level. The similar tendency was also discovered in the grass experiment: at the second year of sapropel application the productivity parameters abruptly fell. It is concluded that polluted sapropel can induce the soil pollution and have a negative influence on the productivity of agricultural crops, therefore, the origin of sapropel and its safety should be thoroughly controlled

russe. Опыты проводились в 2004-2006 гг. на территории Карелии. На торфяной почве выращивали картофель (КР) и тимофеевку луговую. В почву ежегодно вносили водный р-р сапропеля (СП) из расчета 1000 г/м~2 (под тимофеевку) или 500 г в каждую лунку (под КР). Использовали 2 вида СП – из чистого озера, классифицируемый как органический слабозольный среднегумифицированный слабокислый, и из озера, загрязненного отходами лесопильного производства и нефтепродуктами, содержащий в больших количествах свинец, кобальт, марганец. Исходная фауна нематод была представлена 41 родом, из которых 4 (Prodesmodora, Rhabditis, Pratylenchus, Prismatolaimus) были доминирующими. В опыте с травами общая численность нематод под действием чистого СП (ЧСП) возросла примерно в 3 раза, а загрязненного СП (ЗСП) – примерно в 5 раз и поддерживалась на уровне, существенно превышающем исходный, в течение 2 сезонов. В опыте с КР численность нематод снизилась как в контроле, так и в варианте с внесением СП. Таксономический состав нематодных сообществ в целом от внесения СП не изменился, но в опыте с травами возросла плотность популяций бактериотрофов, а в опыте с КР – паразитических нематод. В частности численность специализированного паразита КР Globodera rostochiensis стала почти в 2 раза больше, чем в контроле, под действием ЗСП и лишь незначительно меньше - под действием ЧСП. На 1-й год внесения СП под КР достоверно увеличивались масса ботвы, клубней, корней и столонов (особенно под действием ЗСП), но на 2-й год все эти показатели опустились ниже исходного уровня. Аналогичная тенденция выявлена и в опыте с травами: на 2-й год внесения СП показатели продуктивности резко упали. Сделан вывод, что ЗСП может вызвать загрязнение почвы и оказать отрицательное влияние на продуктивность с.-х культур, поэтому происхождение СП и его безопасность для растений следует тщательно контролировать
