The aim of this paper was to estimate influence of different pedigree completeness on intensity of inbreeding in reference population of Slovak Arabian Horse. There were used pedigrees of 76 animals, pedigree file contained 866 ancestors. Average values of inbreeding coefficient were estimated from all pedigrees (Fc=3.66%), using only three (F3=0.37%), five (F5=1.70%), ten (F10=3.63%) generations of ancestors, respectively. The lesser generations of ancestors were taken into calculations the lower values of intensity of inbreeding were estimated. Differences between estimated average coefficients of inbreeding by groups of pedigree completeness were significant and ranged from 0.03% to 3.29%. Number of used ancestors generations influenced estimated values of inbreeding intensity.
