The aim of this study was to determine the pedigree information, the inbreeding levels, and the characteristics based on probabilities of gene origin. There were evaluated 26 bulls in the reference population born from 1993 to 2008. The pedigree file consisted of 266 individuals. The assessment of the diversity was based on the pedigree information provided from the database of the Breeding Services of the Slovak Republic. The maximum number of traced generations was in average 4.39 plus minus 0.94, the average number of full generations traced was 2.077 plus minus 0.744, and the equivalent complete generation was 3.011 plus minus 0.547. The average inbreeding coefficient of bulls in the reference population was F=0.32%, and the average individual increase of inbreeding between reference was AF=0.12 plus minus 0.37%. The average individual reiatedness coefficient in the reference population was AR=0.98 plus minus 0.53%. The effective number of founders for the reference population was 99; the effective number of ancestors for the reference population was 23. The number of ancestors explaining 50% diversity was 10. The sire LOH001 was with 93 offsprings the most frequently used bull in the artificial insemination. The results will be used in genetic management of breeding work in the Pinzgau population, as well as in monitoring of parameters characterizing genetic diversity and its development.
