The meat yield of Holstein breed calves (male, 6 heads) was observed. The aim was to reach 150 kg live weight at slaughter. The feeding up to the weaning: a milk replacer and a concentrated mixture; the feeding after the weaning: a concentrated mixture and hay. The average age a slaughter in the group of animals was 143 days. The average daily gain from the birth to slaughter was 825.91 g. The weight of carcass fron 73.50 to 86.50 kg was recorded. The average carcass yield was 51.43%. The average rate of kidney fat was 0.82%. The average quantity o round meat (boneless) was 8.28 kg. The MLD area was 29.97 square cm. The pH 24 hours post-mortem was 5.86, and the color (Specol 525 nm 12.68%, or 43.85 (Conica Minolta). The percentage of the drip loss water was 0.68.
