The main target of this thesis was to compare evolutionary changes (structure and diversity) in various evolutionary phases of basic plant communities as well as to evaluate the impact of tree edificators on specific structure of plant communities. On the basis of phytocoenological entries basic plant communities and also plant communities changed by the managing of man were described. Using the ecological analysis (Ellenberg, 1992), the relation of individual species of plant communities to basic ecological factors (light, temperature, humidity, soil reaction, nitrogen) was judged. As a result of unsuitable woody structure, the original natural phytocoenosis of monitored groups of forest types in the region of LUC Pliešovce communal forest lose its natural appearance. With change of tree edificators the biodiversity changes and the specific structure of these plant communities changes as well. On the majority of the region, the group of forest types Fagetum tiliosum makes exception and this group was able to preserve specific structures similar to basic phytoceoenosis.
