Ethephon stimulation has been widely used to increase latex productivity but its effect on natural rubber quality especially physical properties of derived dry rubber is scarcely described. Thus, this work aims to determine whether natural rubber quality is affected by Ethephon stimulation besides increase of latex yield. The study consisted of a properties comparison between unsmoked sheets (P0 and PRI) produced from latex of stimulated plot and those from non-stimulated plot. The stimulation was performed in the plantation of Visahakit Thai Rubber Co., Ltd. located in Chantaburi province Thailand and Hevea brasiliensis RRIM600 clone was chosen. The results demonstrated a lower dry rubber content of latex from stimulated plots. For the studied physical properties, stimulation was found to reduce initial plasticity (P0) and increase plasticity retention index (PRI). Nevertheless, those values were still in the range of the standard values requested from industry.
