This research was carried out in order to determine the physical and chemical properties of forest soils in kumbag district and classify them according to soil taxonomy also to determine erosion properties of these soils and the amounts of the nutrition elements in these soils and to evaluate the relations of these soils to trees and other vegetation.

Bu araştırma Kumbağ (Tekirdağ) yöresi orman topraklarının fiziksel, kimyasal özelliklerinin belirlenerek toprak taksonomisine göre sınıflandırılması ayrıca toprakların erozyon özellikleri ve topraktaki bitki besin elementi miktarlarının saptanarak toprağın ağaçlar ve diğer bitki örtüsü ile ilişkilerinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.
