The aims of this research were to determine cultivars resistant to cabbage cyst nematode (CCN) which causes major yield losses in cabbage growing areas in Bafra and Çarsamba plains, and to investigate the effects of some weed extracts on this nematode and cabbage growth. Factors affecting hatching and emergence of juveniles from cysts were also investigated.

Bu çalısmada, Samsun ili Bafra ve Çarsamba ovaları lahana üretim alanlarında verimi azaltan Lahana kist nematoduna karsı dayanıklı genotiplerin saptanması ve yörede bulunan bazı yabancı otların ekstraktlarının kist nematoduna ve lahana bitkisinin gelisimine etkilerinin ortaya konması amaçlanmıstır. Ayrıca kistlerden larva çıkısına etkili olan faktörler üzerinde de durulmustur.
