This study was carried out to determine the effects of different gamma irradiation doses (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 Gy) on plant characteristics of Eresen-87 and Filiz-99 faba bean cultivars, and FLIP 86-116FB (V9) line provided from ICARDA in M1 and M2 generation during 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 plant growth season under Samsun ecological conditions. Some phenological observations such as emergence percentage, days to emergence, days to first and last flowering and first pod setting, flowering period, the time elapsing from sowing to seed harvest, the percentage of plants remained alive at harvest time were recorded.

Bu çalışma 0, 25, 50, 75 ve 100 Gy dozlarındaki gama ışınlamasının Eresen-87 ve Filiz-99 bakla çeşitleri ile ICARDA'dan temin edilen FLIP 86-116FB (V9) hattında, M1 ve M2 generasyonlarında bazı bitkisel özellikleri üzerine etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla 2002-2003 ve 2003-2004 yıllarında kışlık bakla yetiştirme dönemlerinde Samsun koşullarında yapılmıştır.
