The objective of this study was to determine the economic effect of some traits in sheep farm. Economic values have been estimated in one breed Maritza using economic and technical data collected from DORMO. The traits considered were prolificacy - number of lambs, and milk yield - litres. A linear function was used, relating these traits to the different costs. The variable cost involved in the profit function was labour and feed. The results indicate that sheep growing is a profitable mid and long term investment. More research is needed to include other traits such as the sort and composition of feed.
