Blood parasites (parasitic Protozoa and helmints) are the most important disease agents of wild and domestic birds. Sick birds become less mobile, tire and susceptible to death. Blood parasites also can cause other diseases because of immunity weakening. Up to present time analysis of mixed parasitic invasions of the birds is not carried out in the Republic of Belarus. Therefore, this problem is quite important for nation poultry. Blood parasites of 49 species of birds are researched, including 9 rare and disappearing species. The results of investigation of the fauna and distribution of blood parasites of 6 birds' orders are shown. Main types of parasites, presented in the Republic of Belarus, are Haemoproteidae, Leucocytozoidae and Plasmodiidae along with Nemathelmints. Infestation of different birds with various blood parasites is analyzed. The presence of mixed invasions is a common feature of birds' infestation, although the structure of the taxonomic composition of blood parasites is different in considered host groups. The data of the research are proposed to be used for prophylaxis measurements among wild and domestic birds, in the programs of anti-helmintic and anti-parasitic preparations introduction.
