The importance of hulles barley has increased in recent years due to its adaptabilities for late cropping, water limitation, dry farming, saline and alkaline soils, wet lands and the lands which are not suitable for production of other cereals. And also, because of its possibility to substitude with wheat and corn in chiken feeds. In this study, four promising hulles barley lines were evaluated in 2007-08 year in on-farm research pattern. The study was carried out in farmers' fields of Borkhar-Meimeh and Shahreza areas and in a CRB design with four replications. The ANOVA results showed that genotypes' were different in grain yields, biomass, number of spikes/m. , number of kernls/ spike, thousand kernel weight, harvest index, plant height, date of heading and physiological maturity date, significantly (p0.01). The grain yield had positive and significant correlation (p0.01) with number of spikes/m. , biomass and harvest index Number of spikes/m. correlated with biomass (p0.05) and harvest index (p0.01) psitivley, but negatively with number of kernls/ spike, significantly. And thousand kernel weight had negative and significant (p0.05) correlation with number of kernls/ spike. Number of spikes/m. had the most effects on grain yields and biomass. Comparisons of mean results showed that the highiest grain yield, bimass and harvest index produced by URH-83-7 hulles barley line.
