The effects of some growth substances on the promotion and rooting of interfascicular shoots in Pinus caribaea Morelet
1984
Inglis, J.E.
Better methods of vegetative propagation for promising clones of Pinus caribaea Morelet are required. Repeated sprays of 100 mg/litre BAP on the stems of 2.5 year-old trees significantly increased the number of interfascicular shoots produced. When these were taken as cuttings, the larger they were the more and longer were the roots they produced. Dipping cuttings in a solution of 0.8% IBA significantly increased root numbers, especially with large cuttings.
