Effectiveness of Different Levels of N, P and K on Growth and yield of two Canola Cultivars (Brassica napus L.) in Saline Condition (Qom Province)

Three field trials were conducted in two sites(in 1st farm,with irrigation water and soil salinity levels of 5.5 and 5.8 dS.m-1,OC% equal 0.3, P and K available 6 and 16 mg.kg -1 respactively and in 2nd site, with irrigation water and soil salinity levels of 8.3 and 8.1 dS.m-1,OC% equal 0.4, P and K available 4 and 195 mg.kg -1 respactively) in a split plots experiment with randomized complete blocks design and three replicates in Qomroud district of Qom province during 2006-2007. The nitr ogen treatments were six levels, i.e. 0, 45, 90, 135, 180 and 225 kg N. ha -1, Phosphorous treatments were five levels, i.e. 0, 45, 90, 135 and 180 kg P2O 5. ha-1 and Potassium treatments were five levels, i.e. 0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg K2O. ha -1. It was done on two canola varieties cultivars, i.e. Hyola-401 and PF varieties. The results showed in both irrigation water salinity levels, increasing N level up to 225 kg N. ha-1 , enhanced seed yield and dry mater significantly(p0.05) in comparison with control ( no nitrogen application) and as well as entire N levels; whereas, the oil content seed decreased (p0.05).
