The study of effect of soil organic matter on sugar beet fungi root rot.

Study of probability to control sugar beet Rizoctonia root rot in trials by increasing soil organic matter from different sources including: Cow _ Chicken and Green manure was carried out. The trials were carried out split strip plots in complete RCBD with 4 replications. In all three trials, the main factor was inoculated (inoculated the soil with Rizoctonia Solani and non inoculated) and the sub factor also include: Trial 1. Cow manure (0, 30 and 60 ton/h) - Trial 2. Chicken manure (0, 7.5 and 15 ton/ha) - Trial 3. Green manure (trifolium, sorghum and spring barley). In each treatment quality and quantity characteristics of sugar beet were determined. The disease index was measured biased on the fifth scales and Percentage of damage and soil pH, too. The results showed that by adding the organic matter to soil, the Rizoctonia losses were reduced. While sugar content, root yield and sugar yield were increased.
