The wheat as a strategic crop-have been known country independncy- according to growing of population nomber, the need to high yield varieties increases for more production. From the 6.8 milion hactar of wheat cultivated area, 66% belongs to rainfed sowing of wheat which 270000 hactars was placed annually in west Azerbayjan. So the selection and release of cold and drout tolerance varieties with siutible production is neccesery for increasing of yield per unit area to improvement of country and province production in coldness regions. Selecting siutible lines and vareties to evaluate them in advanced nurseries, 100 and 125 wheat lines along with Azer 2 as a check were studied on two observational trials respectly as (FAWWON and WON-SA). According to seed yield and other agronomic characteristics such as days to heading, cold, heat, drought and deases tolerance and growth period we selected 14 and 30 lines respectly from FAWWON and WON-SA that were superior to the check for sufficient studies in the next breeding programs.
