Identification of indigenous species of country and consideration on agronomical and ecological characteristics and the rate of their essential oils in different agricultural and natural condition has an outstanding importance. The different species of thymus are paid attention because of Thymol and carvacrol. And the most of thymus species are anti flatulence, anti swelling, strengthening stomach, catch cold and also they contain the material anti fungous, antibacterial, anathematic. In order to investigate on ecological characteristics of thymus transcaspicus with selecting of suitable habitation was started, the item that is related to causes of climate, soil, plant cover, step of phonology and also the rate of essential oil in habitat condition was studied. In order to study agricultural characteristics of species after collecting of seeds from habitat the seeds were putted in plate, in 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 centigrade degree, in germinator, in four replication. In domesticating the plant in farm the seeds were cultivated directly in four dates (December, January, February and March) in statistical design in randomized complete block design, finally, after note data we analyzed the data by SAS software. The result show that this species grows in mountains and high spot in Khorasan in altitude 1500 _ 2800 meter in Binaloud and Hezar-Masjed Mountain. The climate of habitat for this species is infra-cool semiarid, cool and infra- cool Mediterranean, cool semi-humidity, cold and even infra-cool humidity. The results of soil analyses of habitat show that Thymus transcapicus grows in loamy and silty loam soil, in PH = 6.5 _ 7.8 , without gipsy , and salty and to contain organic material. In habitat, vegetative step for Thymus transcaspicus was last days of April and its flowering step was in the first days of June and ripening step was in middle of July. The rate of essential oil was 4% in habitat. The result of analyses of data was significant (5%) for degree of germination, percent of vegetation, establishment of plant and vegetative yield. The date of cultivating wasn't significant. The most yield was related to third date of cultivation (February) and the less yield was related to first date of cultivation (December).Percent of essential oil in agricultural condition was between 3.55% to 3.91% in different cultivation.
