Soil born fungal desases particularly cucumber wilt is of importance in Khuzestan . The experiment carried out for evaluating soil solarization effects on disease control in a highly infested field in north of province ( Sorkheh and chenaneh in Shush region). The experiment conducted in completely randomized block design (CRBD) with five treatments: 1.transparent polyethylene sheet 2. transparent polyethylene sheet+ manure (40 ton/ha) 3. transparent polyethylene sheet + Methalaxyl (5%graular) 4. Methalaxyl 5. control. Polyethylene sheets used for one month (18 July to 18 August) . Soil sampling carried out in depths 10 and 20 cm in order to evaluating colony forming units (CFUs) of total fungi , Fusarium spp., Macrophomina, Phytophthora spp. and Trichoderma spp. Also, number of diseased plants, and weeds was evaluated. The results revealed that there are statistically sinificant differences between treatments( P5%). So that , colony forming units of total fungi , Fusarium spp., Macrophomina phaseolina , Phytophthora spp and number of diseased plants in treatment 2 (transparent sheet+ manure)was less than the other treatments and 68, 88.72 ,68.19 , 100 ,92.86 percent less than control, respectively ,but ther is not significant different between about Trichoderma spp. under treatments .Control levels in weeds ; Malva rutondifolia , Cyperus rotundus, Convolvulus arvensis and Tribulus terrestris related to transparent sheet+ manure, statistically had a significant different (P5%). and were 97/3, 80 ,100 and 100 percent less than control, respectively.
