The Experiment of Regional Yield Trial on Chaparsar Rice Lines

This experiment was carried out to determine and introduce rice cultivars with high yield, best cooking quality, yield stability and relative resistant to imporant rice pest and desease, of to promising lines with two check (Onda and Dasht) in three locations of mazanderan province (Tonekabon, Chalos and Amol) during two years (1998 and 1999). The experimental design was randomized complete block with 4 replications. Simple analysis of variance for yield showed significant differences among the genotypes. combined analysis of variance showed significant differences among year, locations and genotypes. the interactions effects of year × location and year × location × genotype were found significant. However the interactions effects of year × location and location × genotype were not significant. In the average yield, two genotypes, number 3 with 6431 and number 5 with 6374 kg/ha grain yield produced more than the other genotypes and improved check. but the line number 5 with the best traits than number 3 such as the best cooking quality, high yield stability, suitable plant hight and resistant to pest and desease, selected for introduce for farmers.
