An investigation of preparation and production of hybrid cells line through somatic cell hybridization technique
2000
Khazab, S.Mahmoud | Mirshamcy, H. | Shafyi, A.
Somatic cell hybrids are produced by viruses or chemical agents such as polyethylene glyco which leads to the fusion of two nuclei with two sets of chromosomal complement. In an established hybrid cell with human parental cell, human chromosomes will lose randomly. We can not guess which human chromosomes are remained in hybrid cells but there are cytogenetic and chromosomal technique to find out the chromosomes. Several clones were isolated which may have different human chromosomes. Each clone can be used for gene expression studies and also titration of viruses and vaccine production.
