Oak trees growth the Zagros area of Iran is limited by many biological factors. The main factors are plant pests and diseases. In fested sites of Oak forests were identified during (1992-94) in this area and cuscuta monogyna was identified principle focus of extension and infection of this parasite plant is on region of Dorud. Dareh-Espar on oak trees. This plant parasite agent, in addition to oak, is able to infest, Acer citeracents, Amygdalus spp. and prunus sp. But its most damage is to oak trees. Our study showed that the seeds of the parasite germinate after favourable climatic conditions are obtained, and after growing infest yong growing twigs of trees and by coiling around the twigs reduce the growth of trees and cause die back. Dodder produces aboundant at the end of growing season and over winters as seed.
