Cut flowers production has necessary comparative advantage in Iran, because of climate diversification, adequate sunshine, ample and cheap labor and fuel, and many other reasons. In such a way, we observe increasing growth of these products in Iran especially in greenhouse condition in recent years. Tehran province had 1st place in country with production of 42, 59 and 61 percent of rose, gladiola and clove, respectively, in the year 2009. Take into consideration of this importance, this study aims to investigate current situation and problems of greenhouse rose, gladiola and clove production and determination of economic optimum size of mentioned greenhouses in Tehran province. For this purpose, Benefit- Cost analysis and Garrett s ranking technique applied. The necessary data for this study collected through completion of questionnaire and direct interview from 96 greenhouse rose, gladiola and clove producers in Tehran province in the year 2007, which were selected by stratified random sampling method. The results of this study showed that greenhouse gladiola production is without economic justification in Tehran province. Meanwhile, greenhouse rose and clove production is economically explicable in all studied sizes. Also economic optimum size for rose and clove production greenhouses are 10 15 square meter in Tehran province. The results also showed that price fluctuations, disproportionate of bank facilities with production trend and inconformity of delivered inputs with existent requirements of production are three major problems of greenhouse rose, gladiola and clove producers in Tehran province.
