Evaluation of Quizalofop-P-tefuryl (Pantera 40EC) efficacy for management of sugar beet's grass weeds

Experiments were conducted at 3 sites (including: Khorassan Razavi(Mashhad), Azarbayejan Gharbi(Orumieh) and Kermanshah) in 1388 to evaluate Quizalofop-Ptefuryl( Pantera 40EC) efficacy on annual grasse weeds of sugar beet. The experimental treatments were aaplication of Quizalofop-P-tefuryl(Pantera 40EC) at 3 doses(1, 1.5 and 2 lit/ha.) that compared with Sethoxydim, Haloxyfop -P-methyl, Propaquizafop, Quizalofop-P-ethyl and control(weed free) in a randomized complete block designe with 4 replications. Weed population frequency, weed biomass and visual evaluation of herbicides on weeds and sugar beet and sugar beet yield were evaluated in this experiment. Resuls indicated that Quizalofop-P-tefuryl(2 lit/ha.) had a similar effects on annual grasses with other herbicides. This treatment had a good effect on Volunteer Wheat, Hordeum sp., Avena fatua and Secale cereale but had a weak control on Echinocloa crus-galli and Poa annua. Visual evaluation of treatments also indicated that Quizalofop-P-tefuryl (2 lit/ha.) was the best treatment.
